Transferring to IUPUI

No matter where you are on your educational path, IUPUI is a great place to take the next step. Each year we welcome transfer students from across the country who are ready to prepare for a lifetime of success.

If you plan to transfer to IUPUI from a four-year college or university (including Purdue University) or a community college, the information on this page will guide you through the admission process.

You spoke, and we heard you. In support of your requests, and due to uncertainty brought by the COVID-19 pandemic, the deadline to apply for transfer admission to IUPUI for the Fall 2020 has been extended through Friday, August 14. You will then have until Tuesday, August 18 to submit any application materials, such as transcripts from your college. Please note, this extended deadline is only available through the ApplyIU application for admission

Need help with the application fee? We've also created an application fee waiver to assist students who wish to apply to IUPUI, but temporarily lack the resources to do so. When completing the ApplyIU application, you may enter the code INCOVID to waive your application fee.

Transfer applicants from other IU campuses

If you plan to transfer to IUPUI from another campus in the Indiana University system, you’ll apply for an intercampus transfer.

Returning adult learner applicants

If you’re returning to college as an adult to complete your bachelor’s degree, IUPUI’s Degree Completion Office is here to support you.

Military and veteran applicants

If you are serving or have served in the U.S. military, the Office for Veterans and Military Personnel will help you make the transition to IUPUI.
