It all begins with the FAFSA

IUPUI’s Office of Student Financial Services is here to help you navigate the process of finding and applying for any of these types of financial aid. In most cases, your first step for aid consideration is to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). When you submit your FAFSA, you’ll be considered for a variety of state and federal financial aid programs, including grants, work-study positions, and loans.

Some admission-based scholarships are based on need, so be sure to complete the FAFSA when it becomes available October 1 for fullest consideration.

Important dates

The FAFSA is available in October each year, and the priority deadline for submitting it is April 15. Be sure to use IUPUI's school code, which is 001813!
