At IU Indianapolis, we believe that no matter where you're from, there's nowhere you can't go.

We'll review your student's academic experiences and personal attributes as we consider what they can contribute to the IU Indianapolis community. The average freshman admitted carries about a 3.5 cumulative GPA; however, many students are admitted with higher or lower GPAs. In fact, half of our 2022 enrolled freshmen carried GPAs that ranged between 3.21 and 3.92.

IU Indianapolis is test-optional, meaning your student gets to decide whether or not to include SAT or ACT scores.

This gives our students a ton of opportunities to take their learning to the next level with hands-on experience, just a few steps from their campus.

We are also one of Indiana University's core campuses (with IU Bloomington being the other). We offer more than 300 undergraduate and graduate degrees from 15 academic schools on campus.

Yes. IUPD on our campus is authorized under state law with full arrest powers and can assist students. The IU Police at IU Indianapolis work closely with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies and public safety partners to ensure the safety of our campus community.

Safety should be a concern on any college campus, including an urban one, and in addition to IUPD, our students, staff, and faculty have access to a number of tools to help them.
