Housing
New students aren't required to live on campus; however, the ones who do love the experience. As a Jaguar, you've got a selection of housing options open to you, but spaces are limited, and housing does fill out. The best way to get your top choice is to apply early - the fall application opens in early November, and the priority consideration date is March 15.
There are also residential based learning communities (RBLC) where you room with people who are likely to be having the same educational experience as you are.

Your experience is what you make it — choose to never be bored
When you’re a student here, not only will have access to a ton of amazing museums, restaurants, and stores within walking distance of campus, you’ll also be part of a vibrant community living their best life in the heart of Indianapolis. Here’s are a few key events to watch out for!

More than a fun canoe race on the Downtown Indy Canal in September — Regatta is also a fundraiser for scholarships for IUPUI students. There are several opportunities for you to give back at our annual event. In addition to the race on the water, Regatta also includes a festival with different spots to eat, games, and more.
Happening in early March, Jagathon is our Dance Marathon, and one of the most popular events on campus. During Jagathon, you’ll spend 15 hours on campus raising money for Riley Hospital for Children. Nearly $3 million has been raised for Riley in Jagathon’s 20-year history – and it will only get better with you on board.

When you’ve been working hard all year, there’s no better way to celebrate than our year-end carnival, Jagapalooza. Rides, games, food trucks, and more come to campus just before spring’s final exams. It’s the perfect way to re-energize with your fellow Jaguars. It can’t be missed!
Kick off the fall and spring semesters with a games, music, free food (including the ice cream social, one of our longest traditions!), swag and more. Weeks of Welcome has everything you need to start your classes off right!

Need more? These are just a few events happening on campus throughout the year. As a Jaguar, you’ll have a ton of ways to get involved and build skills as a leader by joining some of our 400+ student organizations.
