You don’t have to go far from IUPUI to find things to do in Indianapolis. The campus is next door to White River State Park, Indiana’s only urban state park. Its 250 acres of green space are home to attractions that include the Indianapolis Zoo, the NCAA Hall of Champions, the Indiana State Museum, and the Eiteljorg Museum of American Indian and Western Art.
You’ll also find shopping and dining that rivals the best in the country—check out local favorites like Cafe Patachou and Bazbeaux Pizza to find out why Indy’s food scene is getting national attention. If you’re in the mood to shop, try Circle Centre Mall, or hit the boutiques on Mass Ave.
And if you want to go to a sporting event while you’re in town, you’ve got plenty of options. The Indy Eleven, the city’s North American Soccer League team, play at IUPUI’s Carroll Track and Soccer Stadium. Victory Field, home of Minor League Baseball’s Indianapolis Indians, is just a few blocks from IUPUI. The campus also is within walking distance of Lucas Oil Stadium, where the NFL’s Indianapolis Colts play, and Bankers Life Fieldhouse, home of the NBA’s Indiana Pacers and the WNBA’s Indiana Fever.
