Launched in Fall 2023, IU Innovates Indianapolis connects students with near-peer mentors—students, recent alumni, and founders—who help you turn curiosity into action. But what makes the experience meaningful is how you learn:

Core to IU’s 2030 strategic plan pillars of student success, transformative research and creativity, and service to the state and beyond, IU Innovates ensures entrepreneurs know where to start and continually access the right resource at the right time.
Through programs like JagStart, Founders in Residence, and Founders Group, we prepare students to explore entrepreneurship to test boundaries, share their vision, and adapt in an ever-evolving world.

Meet Anna Dorris, Entrepreneurship Program Manager
Anna Dorris didn’t just study entrepreneurship—she lived it as a student.
As an IU Indianapolis alum and JagStart winner, Anna built her first company while juggling classes and pitch competitions. Today, she designs IU Innovates programs around the kind of near-peer support she knows students need to be successful: approachable mentors, practical guidance, and a community that grows together.
