How to apply as a transfer student

Transferring to IU Indianapolis is simple. Find out how to apply for transfer admission, evaluate your college credits, and take the next step toward completing your bachelor’s degree.

Domestic students

If you reside permanently in the United States as a US Citizen, Permanent Resident, Undocumented or DACA student, Asylee, or Refugee, then you will apply as a domestic student.

How to apply as a domestic student

International students

If you reside permanently outside the United States and require a nonimmigrant visa (e.g., F-1, J-1, H1-B, H-4, L-2, etc.), then you will apply as an international student.
