NSEA Week
The over 4,000 student employees at IU Indianapolis work hard to make a meaningful impact at their places of employment. To show appreciation for their efforts, the Office of Student Employment at IU Indianapolis, in conjunction with the National Student Employment Association (NSEA), takes the time during the second full week of April each year to celebrate student employees.
Any student employee is welcome to attend National Student Employee Appreciation Week events, no matter whether they work on or off campus. Festivities include an annual awards ceremony, free giveaways, and themed events. Individual employers may also host their own celebrations for their student employees. Supervisors and student employees won’t want to miss this week of celebration.
Attend the festivities
NSEA Week typically consists of three main events:
- Kickoff event: Student employees can stop by a station somewhere on campus to pick up an NSEA Week t-shirt and get a picture with the IU Indianapolis mascot.
- Awards ceremony: This invitation-only event recognizes the student employees and supervisors who were nominated for an NSEA award.
- Block party: Student employees can pick up snacks, appreciation items, and their NSEA Week t-shirt if they haven't already done so.
