Transfer to IU Indianapolis with a 2+2 Articulation Agreement
What is a 2+2 articulation agreement?
A 2+2 articulation agreement is a formal outline of the coursework you'll complete at Ivy Tech and at IU Indianapolis on the way to a bachelor's degree. These agreements are designed for students who plan to finish their associate degree at Ivy Tech before transferring.
Unless otherwise noted, Ivy Tech students who meet the requirements below are eligible for admission to IU Indianapolis with junior standing.
Eligibility requirements
Students must complete their associate's degree by the start of class at IU Indianapolis for the agreement to be honored.
The following requirements must also be met:
- Submit a complete application for admission to IU Indianapolis
- Earn a grade of C or better in all transfer courses—some programs require a higher grade
- Maintain a 2.0 GPA or higher on a 4-point scale
- Consult with your academic advisor to confirm your catalog and bulletin year requirement term

Guaranteed admissions agreement
Several 2+2 programs are approved for guaranteed admission. The Guaranteed Admissions Agreement provides qualified Ivy Tech students with a guaranteed spot in the related bachelor's program at IU Indianapolis.

Timeline and guaranteed enrollment considerations
These agreements become effective once all signatures are in place and remain active for at least two years. After that, they may be renewed or modified by mutual agreement of Ivy Tech and IU Indianapolis. Talk to your advisor to confirm the current status of your program's agreement.
